About the convention
Conventions are held at a state level twice a year (over 1-3 days) and the National Convention is held once a year in the month of May/June (over 6 days), bringing together members of SPIC MACAY from all states at a common platform. It comprises organisational discussions to analyse the previous year’s performance and the plans going forward along with any key challenges. It also features talks, films, crafts, yoga, classical and folk performances by maestros.
This year the 2nd East Zone Convention of SPICMACAY shall be held at Bhubaneswar , Orissa from 19th January – 21st January in collaboration with the Konark DanceFestival which will provide the youngsters across the country, especially belonging to eastern India, a golden opportunity to behold some of the most enthralling performances by the brightest stars from the galaxy of Indian artists like Smt. Sujata Mahapatra and Smt. Kala Ramnath . It will also include very educative experiences like lec - demos by some of the paragons of Indian classical music and dance , workshops highlighting some of the most famous art forms of Orissa , like the Patachitra and Yoga Camps. The participants will also have the privilege to attend the Konark Dance Festival on the 19th and 20th January.
Venue
The convention shall be held at Silicon Institute of Technology , Bhubaneswar.

Registration:
1. The registration fees is only Rs 100 per participant and has to be paid on the first day of the three day state convention.
2. The participants are required to bring their college or school identity cards with them.
